BerthDesk — Remote Desktops (RDP · VNC) for macOS

The short version

BerthDesk does not collect any personal data. There is no analytics, no tracking, and no telemetry of any kind in the app. Nothing about how you use BerthDesk is sent to us or to anyone else.

Data stored on your Mac

Your server list, connection settings, and preferences are stored locally on your Mac. Passwords, when you choose to save them, are kept in the macOS Keychain — never in plain text and never transmitted to us. The TLS certificate fingerprints BerthDesk remembers for your VNC servers are also kept in the Keychain. This information stays on your device.

Network connections

BerthDesk connects only to the computers you configure yourself (your Windows PCs and servers over RDP, and your Macs, Linux machines, hypervisor consoles and BMCs over VNC). That traffic goes directly between your Mac and those computers. BerthDesk has no server of its own and does not route, proxy, or observe your sessions.

Clipboard

When clipboard sharing is enabled for a connection, text you copy is exchanged directly between your Mac and that remote computer. It is never sent anywhere else. You can turn clipboard sharing off per server.

No accounts, no third parties

BerthDesk has no sign-up or login. It does not include third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs.

Software updates

The version of BerthDesk distributed outside the Mac App Store may check our website for a new version. That request contains no personal information beyond a standard web request. The Mac App Store version does not do this.

맥에 저장되는 것

서버 목록·연결 설정·환경설정은 사용자의 맥에만 저장됩니다. 패스워드를 저장하기로 선택하면 맥 키체인에만 보관되며, 평문으로 저장하거나 저희에게 전송하지 않습니다. VNC 서버의 TLS 인증서 지문도 키체인에 기억합니다. 이 정보는 기기를 벗어나지 않습니다.

네트워크 연결

BerthDesk는 사용자가 직접 설정한 컴퓨터에만 연결합니다 (RDP로 붙는 Windows PC·서버, VNC로 붙는 맥·Linux·하이퍼바이저 콘솔·BMC). 그 통신은 사용자의 맥과 그 컴퓨터 사이에서만 오갑니다. BerthDesk는 자체 서버가 없으며, 사용자의 세션을 중계·관찰하지 않습니다.

클립보드

연결에 클립보드 공유를 켜면 복사한 글자가 사용자의 맥과 그 원격 컴퓨터 사이에서만 오갑니다. 다른 곳으로는 보내지 않습니다. 클립보드 공유는 서버마다 끌 수 있습니다.

계정 없음 · 제3자 없음

BerthDesk에는 가입이나 로그인이 없습니다. 제3자 광고·분석·추적 SDK를 포함하지 않습니다.

소프트웨어 업데이트

Mac App Store 밖에서 배포되는 판은 새 버전이 있는지 저희 웹사이트에 확인할 수 있습니다. 그 요청에는 일반 웹 요청 이상의 개인정보가 담기지 않습니다. Mac App Store 판은 이 확인을 하지 않습니다.
